Trip to Texas

I had a week off of work and decided what better way to spend it than to go visit my sister Stephanie, her husband Eldon and my neice Sophie in Texas. It had been since Christmas since the last time I saw their family and it was nice to be able to go and play with them. We went to the Botanic Garden, a Rangers game, shopping and just having fun. Sophie is the cutest girl ever and found that my being there meant that there were things she could play with not normally in the house. She loved my suitcase, my cell phone, getting into my underwear, and even my tampons.Sophie was a total ham, she loved goofing off and pulling the silliest faces. She is already so cute and to top it off she's hilarious.
So while in Texas we were able to go to a Texas Rangers game who were play against the New York Yankees. The game started at 7pm but due to the oncoming bad weather they covered the field, made us leave our seats and wait for the storm to pass over. The clouds came as did rain and lightning and to top it off, hail! We got drenched and crossed our fingers the game would still occur. The storm passed over and after uncovering the field the game started at 9:30pm. We stayed through to the 5th inning around 11:30 but Sophie had had enough and was way past her bedtime. The game ended with a win from the Rangers 7-3. In the picture below you can see the storm and also the newly built football stadium in Arrlington, that is the pride and joy of Texas, it is still being worked on. You can see it from the Rangers Stadium. It was sad to leave, I had such a good time. I will miss you guys and hope to see you again soon:)

Oregon, I'm back

Well after a 10 month stint in Utah just trying something new, I'm back in Oregon for good. No more sales tax and the weather rocks! Can never have too much rain. I have an amazing two bedroom apartment. I've finally gotten an awesome 46' LCD TV and in the next three or so weeks my new furniture will be arriving. (once I have everything I'll post pictures) This is the next chapter in my life. I have all new things, keeping my super great job from home, and the possibility of anything on the herizon...

On another note there are quite a few people that I am missing. You know who you are, girls:) Hopefully there can be many continuous visits and I can meet new people as well.

Skydiving Rocks!!!!!!!

To celebrate my friend Kacie and her husband's birthday we decided to go skydiving with two of their friends. I have always thought it would be fun to do. I'll admit I had the jitters and was slightly scared but still did it. We were up 12, 500 feet in the air and the free fall lasts about a minute going at about 120mph. It was so much fun, falling was the best part, it's so hard to even describe just how awesome it was. Once the parachute was released it was different and a little harder not to get a little queasy, but still beyond cool. Nothing beats seeing the world from that high in the sky. Enjoy the pictures and video. (Make sure to turn off the my music so you can hear the video)
