Let's go Fly a Kite!
It has been forever since I last flew a kite and sadly I have been keeping one in the trunk of my car for the last seven years. I know you are thinking who keeps a kite in their car? Well I'm just that kind of person never know when the opportunity might come to fly it. It's a Discovery kids kite that doesn't need bars, it's made up of tunnels the wind blows through. I never knew if it would really fly well because I had never tried it, but it got its day in the sun today. It seemed like a normal day at work until I noticed a few of my coworkers had gotten kites, the cheap kids kind from Walmart, but kites nonetheless. They were planning to fly them on their breaks and it was the perfect day for it, the wind was crazy outside. The weather here is having hard time deciding what it wants to do. While they were talking about flying kites out back in the field behind work I remembered the sad, loney kite sitting in my trunk begging to be flown. Well that's exactly what I did around 3 this afternoon, I pulled out that kite and gave it a try. Wouldn't you know its like the greatest kite ever! I just smoothed it out, held it up, and the wind did the rest. The kite is awesome, flying all over, twirling and dancing in the wind. The hardest part was hanging on and bringing it back down. Since we were only out for a short break there is talk of flying during lunches to get the whole experience. Who knew flying a kite at work, while the bosses enjoy watching could be so much fun. Now that I remember how great it can be, there will be many more kite flying days to come. To everyone who needs some extra fun and happiness in your life, go get yourself a kite and feel the difference:)

Sushi and a Movie
I just want to say how much I love my friend Kacie. We are always going out to dinner and having fun times laughing and joking. It has started to become a tradition that we go to sushi a couple times a month. Today we went to our favorite, Happy Sumo at the Gateway in Salt Lake can never get enough of the Playboy roll and unigi nigri (eel) We then followed great food by seeing the movie Taken again. Must say that even the second time, it's a really awesome movie. Liam Niesen has never looked better! And because we are girls we finished that day by getting cookies. Never a dull moment and so many laughs. Till the next girls day out...

Valentine's Day
I have never been the biggest fan of the holiday so this year I decided to make it more fun. I treated myself to a 2hr massage package complete with a chocolate mint truffle massage, a fudge facial, and a chocoholic foot soak, scrub and massage. It was a wonderful way to really have a relaxing time. Along with being pampered, I lucked out and went on a really great date. It was an awesome Friday and then I spent the actual holiday with pizza and movies. Hurray for a memorable Valentines doing my own thing and have a blast doing it!

97.1 ZHT Valentine's Day Massacre
Ok so my friend Kacie has been wanting to be apart of the Valentine's Day Massacre for years and so she lucked out by knowing such a great friend open to coming along. Early this week we put our names in the contest and hoped that we would get choosen. With luck we got picked, so this morning we got up ridiculously early and headed down to the West Valley Mall for some fun. So the point of the competition is with 97 other women to throw yourself into a huge cake looking for prizes. The biggest prize is a diamond ring, but there are concert tickets, gift bags, Ipod shuffle, and more. Pretty much you had to quish through tons of chocolate cake looking for tiny strips of paper. The ring was found in the first minute and then women just dug to find the rest of the prizes. Well I looked forever and so wanted to get something and.......I won! I found Canyon ski lift tickets. Now I just need to find someone to go with me and teach me to ski/snowboard:) Here are some pictures of Kacie and I, she made us T-shirts to wear. It was so much fun and messy and I'm glad that I got the opportunity to do something new and entertaining.

Apparently we were on Fox 13 news and ABC news, I feel famous now. If I can find footage I will post it up. You can go to 971zht.com and watch their video of the event, totally worth a look!
