Longboarding is a Family Affair

Well it was a full weekend. My mom came to Utah for visit and we went down to Provo to see my brother. We went to lunch at TGIF, took my brother grocery shopping and learned how to longboard. We weren't too terrible, but don't think that I will ever be investing in one, lol.

Day 2 of Kite Flying

As you can see another beautiful windy day with more fun kite flying, this time I got pictures as proof of just how hard we work at work, LOL. Think everyone is jealous of mine and soon I think we will be seeing new upgrades to the kites. Maybe I just might have to look into some new ones as well:)

Let's go Fly a Kite!

It has been forever since I last flew a kite and sadly I have been keeping one in the trunk of my car for the last seven years. I know you are thinking who keeps a kite in their car? Well I'm just that kind of person never know when the opportunity might come to fly it. It's a Discovery kids kite that doesn't need bars, it's made up of tunnels the wind blows through. I never knew if it would really fly well because I had never tried it, but it got its day in the sun today. It seemed like a normal day at work until I noticed a few of my coworkers had gotten kites, the cheap kids kind from Walmart, but kites nonetheless. They were planning to fly them on their breaks and it was the perfect day for it, the wind was crazy outside. The weather here is having hard time deciding what it wants to do. While they were talking about flying kites out back in the field behind work I remembered the sad, loney kite sitting in my trunk begging to be flown. Well that's exactly what I did around 3 this afternoon, I pulled out that kite and gave it a try. Wouldn't you know its like the greatest kite ever! I just smoothed it out, held it up, and the wind did the rest. The kite is awesome, flying all over, twirling and dancing in the wind. The hardest part was hanging on and bringing it back down. Since we were only out for a short break there is talk of flying during lunches to get the whole experience. Who knew flying a kite at work, while the bosses enjoy watching could be so much fun. Now that I remember how great it can be, there will be many more kite flying days to come.
