Girls Gone Wild!!!

Ok, Jayci and I had a little girls night out at Chili's. Over very long chats and crazy texting, we came back to her house for some random picture taking. We of course deleted the ugly ones, but a few came out looking quite lovely. This could be because we are just so hot or just plain crazy, but definitely a fun and entertaining night!

Being Happy:)

I'm in the middle of something or really everything, that moment where you stand on the treshold of the next big step in life. I'm ending a contract job and am so excited to be moving permanently back to Oregon and ready to settle down officially. I very much would like to buy a house and take that next step of adulthood. My issue is that I'm going to need to find a new and great paying job that will support me and a house payment, easier said than done.
There are a million little things to worry about in this move but more than that, I'm finding it hard to find my happy place. I know that people make their own happiness, mine is just being elusive. Life does not always take the direction we assume it will; paths change, choices are made and hey....it's life! It's getting to the point of accepting what hand you have been dealt and changing the things you have control over. The day is never long enough to accomplish everything and there is always more.
I have found that being happy takes a lot of work and time to figure what things truely add to my happiness. While creating a list, there are lots of things that make me happy, why then am I always busy doing things that don't make me happy? Strange a person would even need to ask this. I've decided the get rid of all the extras, start only doing activities that really, truely make me happy and stop trying to please other people. When I fill my day with fun things, it allows me to stay focused on the present and make it through the day feeling good about myself, the future, and life.
Now I have just gotten to this point, so hopefully I can put it into effect and successfully use it daily. Like my dad is always saying, "a person needs to have a success story everyday." I am trying and now have better ideas on how to make every day a happy, successful, and fulfilling day. The sun is shining a little brighter and I'm ready for it to stay that way, so wish me luck on this new adventure of happiness and taking those steps into a better life!

"The only thing to fear, is fear itself"

So I have recently read an amazing book that has changed my life. I wanted to tell as many people about it because it was so eye opening. It's called A Single Voice, The Unexpected Life is No Less a Life by Kristen M. Oaks. Its general focus is towards single people but it goes even beyond that. It's about learning how to focus on what's most important in life and being happy during the journey. We don't always get what we want in our own time, but with patience, willingness to service, and being faithful all things will come to pass. For someone who very much wants to be happy and live a full life, this book shows how to do just that. I recommend it to anyone who feels that they are missing something in their lives and/or who are single and looking for a way to continue living life and being happy. Like the quote at top, there are many things in life that one can be afraid of, but by letting that fear hold you back, the only person being hurt is you. There is so much life has to offer, we just have to find where happiness is in order to overcome our fears.

Christmas Vacation

I went home to Oregon for a week and a half. It's always nice to have time off of work and to be with family. The only problem was that the weather was out of control. It snowed and iced over the entire time I was home so I really didn't get to go anywhere and see many people. But the backyard at my parents looked amazing, and I even got to shovel the driveway.

I did go to lunch with my friend Karissa and my friend Aimee and I workout with our instructor Scott, never miss getting to fight. With all the time home meant more time with my 10 month neice Sophie. Pretty much I took a million photos of her, love being an aunt! While at home she figured out how to clap and I taught her how to smile when I said "cheese" for pictures and to scrunch her face up. Now she knows how to make all the crazy faces I do.
