Catching Up

Ok so life has been interesting lately. I went for a second visit this year to see my adorable neice Sophie. She is growing up so fast and gets funnier everytime I see her. Also enjoyed being set up by my sister with a boy, which added to the fun of the trip.

I have a job that instead of going permanent is now a daily guessing game. I'm not even sure I want to keep it anymore. Ahhh decisions, decisions... I have a new calling as the Relief Society Secretary that is keeping me busy but giving me the ability to get to know every sister in the ward and allowing me to work on being more social in general. Along with being social trying to make more of an effort to make friends and get out more often. Still love to be alone doing my own thing, but trying be social too. Plus I'm back to working out and fighting. It has been good for me to get some of my frustrations out. And get in shape for the summer!
I'm still using my good luck charms on helping the world get married. My girl friend here in Oregon got married on Saturday at the beach and was able to be there with my parents and had a great time. Also enjoying trying to meet boys online again and having a blast. Maybe, just maybe one day I'll meet someone special, keeping my fingers crossed!

Sophie

A few weeks ago I went down to Texas to visit my sister, her husband and Sophie. We did lots of dancing, playing, reading and talking, so much fun! Sophie loved to talk, she counted to 10, read Little House of the Prairie and said her please and thank you's. She liked having her hand held, wanted to dance when the music was playing and loved seeing pictures of herself on my camera. Here are pictures of all the fun we had.

The New Year

Well I haven't written on my blog in forever so I better do some catching up. First of all I had a good 28th birthday and along with buying a diamond ring and clothes, I treated myself to a beautiful digital piano that I love so much. One of my goals for the coming year is to practice and be a better pianist.

On to December, I bought my very first real Christmas tree. It was so much fun to go to the tree farm and pick a tree. I bought the first one they showed me and it was a beautifully perfect 8 foot tree. I had them bale it, drove it home with it in my car from the length of the dashboard to the end of the trunk, made a little bit of a mess. I took it home carried it up the stairs and set it up in its place all by myself. Pretty much I rule with doing everything on my own.
I got many great gifts for Christmas including new pots and pans, casserole dishes, a gorgeous coat and a rice cooker from my best friend. My brother came to visit and I had a great time hanging out with my family. Lots of good times and laughs, my family is so much fun!
Spent New Years Eve with my best friend and the next few days played and watched a bunch of movies. It's been a good way to start the new year and looking to making new resolutions and have a successful time in 2010.

Disneyland

Well after all these years I finally made it to Disneyland. Went with Joe's sister Laree and her 9 year old Noah. Got there Saturday night and then spent Sunday checking out shops at Disney plaza and ran a bunch of errands.
Monday we went to Disneyland and tried a bunch of rides. Not the biggest fan of rides like Splash Mountain and Indiana Jones, but I really did like meeting characters and the smaller kid rides. That night we saw the fireworks which were made for Halloween and my favorite part.

Tuesday took awhile to get there because Noah got sick, but we finally made it to the park. Finished the rides we missed the day before and then headed over to California Park. Met more characters and got to do the 3D Toy Story ride, which was super fun, even if the line was really long. Way too much walking, but at the end of the day enjoyed some fish tacos and got in bed early.

Wednesday we went back to Disneyland and finally ended the day at California Park at the Trick or Treat party. I got to learn how to draw Donald Duck and it turned out amazing. Then spent a hilarious time doing the Star Wars picture where your face ends up as one of the characters. Looks completely real and so funny. Plus for the first time in 20 years I got dressed up and went trick or treating. I wore a green fairy costume, sort of like Tinkerbell. After a long night flew back home and went back to normal life. That was my 2nd real vacation and I can't wait to go on more of them.
